Community Education & Fundraising Event
Please support Hoosier Idol. This event has traditionally brought together business and civic leaders, community members and opinion makers, mental health advocates, legislators and media personalities – all supporting people in our state who have mental or addictive disorders. The “HOOSIER IDOL” theme was introduced in 2006 and has been a great success. Indiana State Senators and Representatives provide the evening’s entertainment and compete for the title of ”HOOSIER IDOL”. This evening will be great fun and of course supports a very worthy cause.
Mental Health America of Indiana will utilize net proceeds to advocate for the rights of those with mental and addictive disorders, and to educate the general public about needed changes in our service delivery system. With your help, MHAI will help reduce the stigma associated with mental and addictive disorders; and encourage those in need to seek help early and appropriately. We anticipate attendance of over 400 people this year at this entertaining and fun event.
